The hack happened on October 27th and affected users who had saved their game data on the Playstation 4. The hackers were able to access user names, passwords, and other personal information. If you’re one of the people who was affected by this hack, here are some steps you can take to protect yourself:

  1. Change your password: This is probably the most important step you can take to protect yourself from this type of attack. Make sure to change your password on all of your accounts, especially if those accounts contain personal information like your username and password.
  2. Enable two-factor authentication: This will add an extra layer of security to your account. You’ll need to set up two-factor authentication if you haven’t already done so. To do this, go to Settings > Account Management > Two Factor Authentication and select Enable Two Factor Authentication . You’ll then be prompted to enter your username and password into a new screen in order to activate two-factor authentication on that account.
  3. Change your browser settings: If someone were able to access your account through your browser, they would also be able to view any passwords that you have saved in that browser. So it’s important that you change your browser settings so that passwords are not stored in clear text or accessible through the web browser history.
