If you’re like most people, you probably don’t know how to fix an unrecognized disc on your PlayStation 4. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to fix an unrecognized disc on your PlayStation 4 in just 20 minutes or less.

  1. Open the console and look for the “PS4” icon in the top left corner of the screen.
  2. If the “PS4” icon is not present, then open System Preferences and click on “System.”
  3. In System Preferences, click on “Storage” and then click on “Format.”
  4. In Format, select “NTFS.”
  5. Click on “OK” to finish formatting the disk.
  6. Now open up Games for Windows Live and sign in with your Microsoft account.
  7. If you’re using a digital copy of games, then open up that game and play it. If you’re not using a digital copy of games, then skip to step 8 below.
  8. If you’re using a digital copy of games, then go back to step 7 and sign out of Games for Windows Live.
  9. If you’re not using a digital copy of games, then continue with step 8 below.
